What can professional blogs do for businesses?

Maintaining a professional blog has many potential advantages. First, blogging provides a venue to deliver information in a creative way. Second, having a blog would allow corporations to portray a more human side of business and consumers would be able to make a stronger emotional connection with the company. This would increase brand loyalty, recognition, and awareness, thereby helping businesses become a permanent aspect in consumers' lives.

What can professional blogs do for businesses such as Snapple?

As I contemplated this question, I came to the conclusion that professional blogs can aide businesses like Snapple by

  • Personalizing the company.

As I conducted my research on professional blogs, I was amazed by how many corporations maintain a blog. Some of these corporations include Amazon, Facebook, Marriott, Google, and eBay.

(Two of my favorite corporate blogs are Whole Story: Whole Foods Market and Marriott on the Move)

Finding a professional blog for Snapple proved to be more difficult. I discovered articles and a twitter account but the closest thing I found to a professional blog I found here:
